SOS Manufacturing Specializing in custom wiring harnesses and electromechanical assemblies

How determined were Steve Oakins and Ray Stoner to start SOS Manufacturing? Not even the                          national tragedy of Sept. 11,2001, could deflate their dream of a vibrant enterprise.                       

More than seven years later, SOS has become just what Oakins and Stoner envisioned - a thriving company specializing in custom wiring harnesses and electromechanical assemblies.                         

Stoner and Oakins began SOS on Aug. 1, 2001. When 9-11 occurred they just had finished the first bench in their shop.                         

SOS was founded on the partners' desire to handle larger jobs involving intricate harnesses. "Quality and delivery are more critical than price on more complex harnesses, "Steve Oakins said." They are not as easily shopped around, so our approach is more relationship-based. It has served us well."
